The Wood of Don Venanzio and the Littoral grove of ilex trees of Torino di Sangro are legally protected by the Regional Law n. 45 issued on the 11th of September 1979. In these areas it is forbidden to cut down trees, to pick up all kind of spontaneous flora, to create any driveway and it is also forbidden to build any kind of construction. In fact, they have been considered as biotopes of a particular vegetation interest.
