Abruzzo Europe - Activities, programs e financing

On 6 and 7 February 2013, the Abruzzo region hosted the first technical meeting of the "MARLISCO, MARine litter in Europe Seas : Social AwarenesS and CO-Responsibility" project, which has involved 20 institutional representatives from 15 European countries. The "MARLISCO" project is promoted and coordinated by the Province of Teramo, and is funded under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Development. The project runs from June 2012 to May 2015. The project aims at raising public awareness of the effects of marine pollution and promoting coresponsibility of the different actors for a more sustainable management of marine litter across all European seas.
